Tattoo After Care
- Wash with hot water and Dial anti-bacterial
liquid soap 1-3 times daily (as needed).
- Do not use a wash cloth when cleaning your
tattoo. Also, avoid wearing rough or restrictive clothing
while your tattoo is healing.
- Allow tattoo to air dry then apply a minimal
amount of fragrance and dye-free lotion. (Curel, Lubriderm,
Aveeno). Be sure to rub lotion completely into your skin.
Your tattoo should appear dry, not oily or pasty.
- Re-apply lotion daily as needed. Keep applying
lotion until tattoo is fully healed.
- Do not pick or scratch a fresh tattoo. Flaking
skin is normal and if scabs should occur be patient and
allow them to heal naturally.
- Do not soak or submerge your tattoo in
shared water (pools, lakes, bath tubs, etc.) for at least
3 weeks.
- Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight
for at least 3 weeks. Sun exposure or the use of tanning
beds at any point in your life will fade your tattoo.
When you leave your tattoo is not finished,
the healing process is a crucial part to how your tattoo will
appear. It is not uncommon that a tattoo may need minor touch-ups,
we guarantee touch-ups as long as they are done within the
first 6 mos. of the tattoo. Difficult areas such as feet,
hips, hands and necks and joint areas are not guaranteed and
are the clients responsibility. If you have any questions
or concerns regarding your tattoo stop by or give us a call.
