About designer:

I believe in jewelry’s ability to transform and empower.  Choosing how to adorn oneself can carry significance of great magnitude and intention or unfold as an unconscious act of expression.  Jewelry has its established place across cultures: from ceremony, to daily rituals of dressing, to conveying information.  The ways in which we present ourselves to the world can be influenced by the ways we decorate our bodies.  My wish is for jewelry to carry significance that helps the wearer connect to herself and illuminate and share an aspect of her beauty.  And so I create sensual shapes out of timeless metals meant to impart a sense of strength and grace.  In the roundness of a curve, the steadiness of a line and through the power of simplicity, clean, elegant and bold designs emerge.  May they be worn with confidence and delight.

I use all recycled sterling silver from Hoover & Strong.  I also work with brass, copper and gold fill.  To minimize waste, I save all scraps and occasionally base jewelry designs on the materials I have left over.  The variations from piece to piece may reflect this and for the same reason many designs are one-of-a-kind.  I am currently seeking sources where I can purchase all my metals sustainably. ~xo. erika rose
