Artist Jill Sans -
Jill was drawn to permanent cosmetics through her love of makeup artistry. After having her eyebrows tattooed she was hooked and couldn't wait to share it with others. It was fascinating how not only permanent cosmetics changed the way you looked and felt on the outside, but it did something inside as well. Through her art/design education she was able to fine tune her understanding of symmetry, color and design which helps in the creation of naturally enhanced permanent makeup. She was fortunate to start her career with her fundamentals with Margorie Grimm of Faces by Design in 2011 and is a current member of the SPCP which keeps her continuously learning and growing.
Who Benefits from Permanent Makeup?
- Those that wear contact lenses
- Allergies to topical makeup or skin sensitivities
- Have difficulty applying makeup due to poor eyesight, unsteady hand or poor motor skills
- Have loss or thinning of hair/lashes
- Those with busy lifestyles and don’t have time throughout day to re-apply
- Active people who enjoy physical activity and don’t want their makeup to come off during swimming, running , yoga, etc.
- Those looking to enhance their natural appearance.
Eyebrows are the frame of a face and with just a little tweak of an arch or some adjustments to an eyebrow shape the whole face can be uplifted dramatically, sometimes taking ages off the person's appearance. A Lash Enhancement which is a small amount of liner through the lash line can make eyelashes look fuller. Eyeliner can bring more definition to the eye and with the correct shade can enhance those beautiful eye colors.
Things to Know
Permanent makeup is the art of tattooing pigment into the dermis layer of skin. With proper implantation the pigment should be visible anywhere from 1 - 10 years depending on type of procedure, technician, personal health, lifestyle, sun exposure and quite simply the natural aging process we all go through. Just like getting our hair dyed or houses painted, there is always some level of maintenance when it comes to color, it just fades no way around it. Permanent Makeup is a process and can sometimes take multiple visits to achieve desired results. Remember we can always go darker but impossible to go lighter, can always go bigger but not smaller.
